I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Pratt Institute and my Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Massachusetts, where I subsequently pursued a year-long postgraduate residency in printmaking.

URBAN MOSAIC: EXPLORING THE INTRICATE CONNECTIONS THAT DEFINE OUR CITIES

In my work, I draw upon architecture, figure-ground plans, and aerial views of cities to create intricate patterns that reflect the diverse aspects of our lives and experiences. These elements converge to capture both the beauty and grittiness of our lives. The city serves as a powerful metaphor for unity, showcasing the complexity, interconnectedness, relationships, and opportunities that enrich our surroundings.

I am passionate about experimentation, problem-solving, and developing innovative systems. By engaging in series work, I continuously uncover new techniques and imagery through multiple iterations and applications. Just as a city mirrors its inhabitants, my practice embodies a strong commitment to innovation as I explore a wide range of ideas. I am driven by aesthetics and challenges and relentlessly pursue elegant solutions to refine my work.

I draw inspiration from contemporary artists like Mark Bradford, El Anatsui, and Julie Mehretu, whose impact significantly shapes my creative journey.
